Imainila strives to transform everyone into a saree connoisseur by enticing you in to discover the joy of taking on the world wearing 6 yard wonders. From resplendent kanchipuram silk sarees to breezy linens, we have authentic weaves sourced  from the gloriously vibrant Indian heartlands. 

Where the story began... 

Imainila Collective is the passionate venture by Nivetha, a fashion design graduate who set about enriching and assisting weavers since her college days. Having visited many looms out of passion, she knew first hand the struggles faced by traditional weavers who carry the legacy of India's beautiful culture in their hardworking shoulders.

Handloom weaving (that involves 2 weavers working in tandem) is a time consuming process. As it takes weeks to bring a silk saree to life, the money inflow is not quick as one would desire, and it affects their way of life. 

Moved by their plight, Nivetha took to designing for weaving co-operatives as a goodwill gesture. This gave her the opportunity to work closely with weavers and understand the dreams and aspirations they carry in their weary souls. 

Nivetha felt that she had to do something to uplift the artisans and give them a sustainable future. So, the seed for Imainila Collective was implanted. Now this venture has bloomed in absolute glory, and colours the lives of the artistic weavers and saree lovers with equal fervour!

So, at Imainila Collective, we are showcasing the fashionable side of  comfortable Indian clothing that is beautifully entwined with our heritage & culture.
